Tuning X window server for high definition

I looked at this link and his home page but it's unclear whether he just 
got Linux to play WMV files or if he also got the DRM (digital rights 
management - i.e. copy protection) support working.   I didn't see any 
mention of DRM.  I am able to play some clips just fine.  The main 
feature, however, is encoded and needs DRM support to be played.
