TiVo hacking and Free Stuff

That's basically what I'd like to do with mine, but I have a 40 hour 
Series 2. I've seen the dealdatabase.com forums, but I find the whole 
forum interface annoying and hard to find the information needed. I'm 
surprised more sites haven't sprung up around TiVo like they have 
around the X-Box and other devices. Oh well, I guess after I 
disassemble and reassemble my Powerbook based on the instructions 
pbfixit.com instructions (I've got a loose screen), I'll tackle 
Dealdatabase.com and figure it out.
