If we do this, here is a start:

First pieces:  two network devices.  

capabilities unknown

A 12 port 3com Linkbuilder, 100MBit    15 watt
A 16 port US-Robotics (nee 3com) TotalSwitch 10/100 MBit 1 amp

Both are 19" rack mount, 

The latter has a serial port on it. I believe both
have "some" smarts/management abilities.
