Tax software under Linux

You should consider checking the freefile section of the IRS website
next year to see if there is an online service you can e-file next
year. I've used an online, browser based service called TaxAct.com for
the last three years and highly recommend it. Because I met their free
filing qualifications, I was able to complete my taxes online
(admittedly using Mozilla on a windows box) and file them for free. I
added the MA state form for free and filed it for something like $8.

By the way, if you don't qualify for freefile, you can still prepare you
tases online for free - then either file them for a nominal fee ($8 if I
remember correctly) or save your completed return as a PDF file, print
out the forms, then snail mail them.

Good Luck.
