It is now (obviously) HP. There was a real store in Houston.

In the past they had some good deals on refurbished stuff, but I have
not checked since the merger.

As I mentioned, I purchased 3 refurbished systems. My first laptop
installed Linux right out of the box. It was a 13" screen, and the CD
ROM was in a removable "wedge". I had problems with that which I later
traced to a bad memory upgrade, but at that time the PC was getting old.
I bought another one for my daughter with a 15" screen. That has run
flawlessly (with Linux) except for the internal power jack. I think I
may have damaged that myself. I've had that laptop fall a couple of
times. I've got it working using rubber bands, and eventually, my jury
rig will fail.
