Has anyone compiled the Enterprise version of Redhat?

Bill,

I've been looking into the same thing myself, and I've run into some
disturbing information. It appears that RHEL 3.0 isn't designed to be
self-hosting.

I had been planning on building the core packages from another distro
(Fedora maybe), and then once I install those core packages, rebuilding
everything (including the core packages) from within itself.

According to this e-mail, it's not possible:

Maybe RHEL 2.1 can build RHEL 3.0.
