[OT] Visual C++ question

I think what I had done is specify in the project wizard:

- New Win32 Console Application
- Empty project

Then created new text files with .c extension, then added them into the new
project. By doing it this way, I think the VC++ compiler will let some C++
syntax slip by.

Wow, when I took C @ Northeastern, the only requirement was that the
assignment compiles without errors or warnings on the school's Unix
environment, what we use to write / debug / compile the assignment before we
turn it in was our own responsibility.
