Books on linux graphics programming

My favorite for GUI programming is wxWindows (C++):

I don't think there is a book, though,
but the documentation is awesome.
It's cross-platform (uses native widget set) and has been
around 10 years. Also it has Perl bindings, which is how
I generally use it :) but there are Python bindings too.
