Preinstalled Windows: AARGH! I can't get it off!



outside of the enforcability issues....
Some support companies tell you that they won't support a system if Windows 
was not installed. Someone posted this one a while ago, and I checked with 
Compaq and they confirm that it is not true. 
However, many of the diagnostic tools may run under Windows.
