apache rewrite module

Before I actualy dive into the rewrite pool.... let me ask if what my
boss asked can be done.

We would like to display a link which points to
"http://www.server1.com/bin/api/1.10b/";

but in reality the link is a connection to
"http://www.server2.com/bin/api/1.10b/";

seems like using GET it is possible, or have I just been listening to the
ranting for too long?

TIA,
Phil
