Configuring Linux laptop for Cable internet access????

I'd recommend putting in a home firewall, like the Netgear or Linksys
cable/dsl routers. These boxes connect to your cablemodem and provide
DHCP and NAT to your home network. You can set up your laptop to use
DHCP to acquire its network settings.
