Linux on Sun Ultra-5 [Got a Sun monitor laying around?]

I wish I had a U5. My U1 is a bitch to install on because I have no monitor
and have to use the serial port (YUCK). Also, the Graphics card on the
creator 2/3D series does not appear to be supported. At least you have a
PCI slot, and multi-sync cards!

Anyway, I downloaded the three ISO images from SUSE (7.3) and burned them to
CD, but have nad no luck with the install due to video issues, etc.

Check out www.suse.de there are many sparc mirrors; I used the UK one.

Anybody have any old Fixed Freq SPARC monitors laying around?

Subject: Linux on Sun Ultra-5

Rookie question: I have a spare Sun Ultra-5 that I'd like to try Linux
on. Is there a recommended distribution package, or does it have to be
done from scratch?

Thanks,
Chris
