New to Linux, help requested

Hello there, I am new to Linux and open source and would like to learn more
about it. I do not have a computer to bring to the Installfest in Boston
this weekend but would like to find someone who is willing to help me. I
have scanned some tutorials but want hands-on practice, one to one with
someone who knows what they are doing and is willing to teach me. My
ultimate goal is to have Linux on a desktop at home, know how to use it,
associated programs, and learn more about the Boston area open source
community. If you can help let me know.

Thanks,
Karen
