Short write errors during ftp transfer

I had this problem not too long ago transferring a ~27MB file between
linux and Win9x with smbclient, IIRC.  My solution was use FTP.  The
network hardware that provided the link was old and crappy, which may
have been a contributing factor...

Presumably you're transfering the image to a machine with a burner?
Otherwise, you could burn it and dd it on the other machine...
