Can't connect to the internet



don't know much about suse, but I think you're using the wrong program.  I think you need dhcpcd or pump, both of which handle dhcp connections and dynamic IPs (dhcp: _Dynamic_ Host Control Protocol).

  I am running suse 7.0.  I have DSL and since it doesn't give me a static ip i have to use pppoe, but every time i try ti connect it times out.  It did not give me the option of dhcp.  Can i get some suggestions on why it keeps timing out.
