Mailbox question

msg #1 : len 3480 ... retrieved failed to process message list for
   "kpendle1" (not a Maildir (/home/les/Mail/default/))
   Resetting connection and aborting..

How do I define this as a Maildir?

"maildir" is a format that qmail, postfix, and exim (MTAs) and
Courier-IMAP (an IMAP server) use.

I suspect that either your package depends on one of these MTAs, or you've
installed a maildir-using MTA but haven't configured it correctly.
