I just got canned!

So I just got fired. I think it might actually be the first time in 15
years I've been fired as opposed to quitting or laid off. When pressed,
the best my boss could do was explain that it was a personality fit.
They were looking for someone who would sit down and shut up and code. I
analyzing things to see if the goal/methodology actually make sense, look
for portability/scalability issues, schema holes, etc. In short, I think.

Thankfully, this has happened when there about three companies in the
entire Boston area hiring UNIX-based Principal Software Engineers. But I'm
not just writing this to bitch.

I'll give a very short version of my skills here, followed by a link to a
web page with the gorey details. Any pointers to clueful companies with
the right shaped holes in search of a peg, or buzzword-enabled
recruiters, please let me know.

Strong C, perl, UNIX, linux, web development, infrastructure, POS, CRM,
HTML, SQL, toolsmithing.

Intermediate C++, PHP, Java, telephony.

My resume is at http://thekramers.net/queue/ but I won't get to clean it
up and update it until Monday with the job I just departed from. There
might be minor differences between the text/html/word versions of the
resume. I'll also have a cover letter then with a better explanation of
what I am looking for.

Thank you for your support, hate the game not the player.
