Sound Issues

getting a little frustrated....but i'm sure there's a reason for this
problem

mp3 audio, anything that just goes right though my sb live to my
speakers works great.

however, CD Audio and the audio for my tv card do not.

the two things in common here seem to be that the audio goes from the
device(TV Card, CDROM) to the sound card through internal cables to the
on board connectors on the SBLive.

I'm running RH 7.1, and I had thought that there was native kernel
support for the sb live in the 2.4.x kernels....but perhaps it's very
generic?

any ideas?
