Secure remote control of Microsoft?

Hello to all:

I am going to start a new job towards the second week of April, heading
back to MIT.

Part of my responsibilities will include maintaining NT boxes (though not
completely sure of the mix between 4 and 2000). To aid with remote
administration (both command-line and GUI) via a secure channel, what do
people recommend?

I know of VNC, which has support via SSH tunneling. If people do
recommend this, what SSH server for NT do you recommend?

What do people recommend for command-line-based secure remote control?

Thanks for any/all feedback.

Scott
