Diabling PnP for 3COM 509-TPO Card

I have a dual-boot Windows/Linux machine. I still haven't had any
networking capabilities for Linux, but I'm sure that my problem is due to
that my ethernet card (3COM 509b) has PnP enabled. How do I disable PnP on
my ethernet card? I recall that I need to download a small program to
diable it (from DOS).
