Visual Source Safe, Linux, Samba and security

Hello to all:

At work we use Microsoft's Visual Source Safe, have a main NT 4.0 Server
and a Linux box running Samba. We want to establish a secure connection
between Samba and VSS to also permit VSS/Samba updates to a co-location
facility with Linux-only systems. Can this be done? If so, how?
The goal is to take checked files from VSS and drop them into their proper
places on the Linux boxes, ideally having paths from the Linux boxes
mounted as volumes (i.e. Samba).

Thanks for any leads.

Scott
