where to lookup current kernel limitations

does anyone have a good website with a table of kernel limitations. Even
a link to RedHat's standard kernel limitations would be cool...

i.e.
	kernel-2.2.12
	  + physical memory <= 2GB
	  + swap <= 256MB (per swap partition)
	  + file size <= 2GB
	  + filesystem size <= 1TB
	  + scales well to 4 CPUs

	kernel-2.4
	  + blah
          + blah
          + blah
	  + scales well to 8 CPUs
