Yeah, he went to MacHack and said things.... well, the result was 
that they wanted to help him understand their position, so they 
bought him an iBook to introduce him to the World of Macintosh.  It 
seems to have worked.  That 'book lists around $1400, I think, and 
the money was gathered out of instant donations.
