sanity check for disk images

A simple sanity check is to try mounting the disk image:

  mount -o loop,ro disk.image /mnt/floppy

If it works, the image is probably okay.

A better way, if you don't mind a little extra time, is to compute an MD5
checksum of the data on the floppy, and then compare that to an MD5
checksum of the disk image.  Something like this:

  md5sum /dev/fd0 disk.image

If the two checksums chance, you're safe.
