questions about distributions

(resend)

SuSE - lags behihd other distros in keeping up with the latest and greatest,
YAST sucks, never got much further than installing and saying "that's nice"
   with this one.

The install's actually quite easy, and it comes with a lot of stuff.
SuSE 6.3 comes with a graphical version of YaST (YaST2) in addition to
the original (you can use either), and the install now apparently has
a graphical option (I haven't upgraded from 6.2; I'm probably going to
hold off at this point until kernel 2.4 comes out).
