Y2K is a dud

The first serious media attention on y2k I saw was an 'expert'
on Ted Koppel ranting about the disasters to come. Oddly enough,
this fellow owned a consulting company which specialized in
y2k. At the time, I yawned heartily, having been fixing y2k-challenged
code since 1979.
