Yup, MediaOne.

Mediaone does not allow you to attach more than one device with a MAC to
your cable modem. 

They will look the other way if you "forward" traffic through one machine
from others, by putting two NICs in a machine, one for the cable modem, and
one connected to your LAN.

Since it's just an ethernet network, there's nothing to stop you from
plugging the cable modem into the uplink port of a hub, and attaching as
many devices as you wish to the hub. They will all get IP addresses, and
will all get access to the Internet. This, MediaOne frowns upon. ;) With
this new service, they allow you to do this and attach up to three devices
with MAC address to your cable modem via a hub.

Note that "smart" hubs will use up one of these addresses in order to work.
I use a cheapo LinkSys 5-port jobbie.

I can't find a link for it though, but they call it "Home Networking". If
you're interested, give MediaOne a buzz.
