AMD Athlon and Linux

Anyone using an AMD Athlon with Linux?  Anything I should know?

I just ordered a PC with an AMD Athlon 700.  I made sure all the hardware was
compatible with RedHat's list of Intel Hardware for 6.1. Hopefully most or all
of this stuff will apply for an Athlon-based PC too.
