TX errors in eth0 interface

Since upgrading from RH5.2 to RH6.0 I have not been able to get eth0
interface configured properly. The dmesg show this error:

ne.c:v1.10 9/23/94 Donald Becker (becker at cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov)
NE*000 ethercard probe at 0x300: 00 40 05 6f 10 32
eth0: NE2000 found at 0x300, using IRQ 9.
eth0: Tx timed out, lost interrupt? TSR=0x43, ISR=0x2, t=918.

eth0: Tx timed out, lost interrupt? TSR=0x43, ISR=0x2, t=1500.
and so on...

It is also showing errors in ifconfig.

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:40:05:6F:10:32
inet addr:10.10.10.2 Bcast:10.10.10.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:53 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
Interrupt:9 Base address:0x300

I can ping the local interface 10.10.10.2 but not another hosts on the local
network 10.10.10.1.
Any help would be appreciated.
Jason
