Problem with RH5.2 and sound

I tried your idea, but it FAILED!!!  I put a "modprobe pas2" into
/etc/rc3.d/S85sound and left the parameters in /etc/conf.modules as this:

alias scsi_hostadapter aic7xxx
alias eth0 ne
options ne io=0x300
alias sound off
options sb pas2=1
options pas2 io=0x388 irq=11 dma=1 joystick=1

Everything works now...
