Hi,

I have a Pentium 233 MMX with a S3 Virge video card. Over the weekend, I
setup a newer kernel (2.0.35) and X.

I managed to setup X so that I could use 8, 16, 24, and 32 bit modes.
However, after I enter some of the modes, the character set is screwed up
when I return to text-only mode. All the text that was on the screen is a
wierd character and anything I type also appears as a unexpected character.
The only mode that has been "stable" is 8-bit.

Could anyone suggest a reason as to why? Better yet, can anyone suggest a
solution?

Also, does anyone know if Linux supports IOMEGA Zip drives?
