Linux scsi support for DynaMO?

I recently picked up a Fujutsu DynaMO 640, a 640 MB magneto-optical drive,
which works OK when I run it under NT. However, when I hook it up to my
Linux box (Redhat 5.2), on bootup the kernel reports that the scsi drivers
don't support 2048-byte block sizes, and is unable to use the drive.

Has anyone else here run into this, and did you find a solution?

Thanks.
