Linux, Scanners, - recommendations?

My only warning is that you should try to avoid scanners which only support
auto-termination. For some reason, many scanner manufacturers will not trust
you to be smart enough to know whether your scanner in on the end of the bus.
The result is that running other devices on the same bus is difficult, since
auto-termination can be unreliable in that configuration.
