BLU.note: Don't Forget Wednesday - 09/16/98!

                        Linux Soup -- A 2nd Helping

Presented by: Christoph Doerbeck (doerbeck at dma.isg.mot.com)
   Date: 16 September 1998, Wednesday
   Time: 7:00 p.m.
   Place: M.I.T. Building 3-133

Christoph Doerbeck presents another tasty serving of "Linux Soup", a
mixed bag of Linux applications. The target audience will be home
users of Linux, and topics will cover a range of applications.
Christoph will be bringing his computer from home, and describe how
it's configured and used to do:

     * Customizing Linux for home (X11 login screen, login profiles)
     * Word Processing, Spread Sheets, Presentations (Applixware)
     * Internet access (Dial up PPP, tcp wrappers, sendmail)
     * Graphic Arts, Scanning, Drawing (SANE, GIMP)
     * Web Design (using M4 macro processor)

This meeting will hopefully be more of a town meeting, where input
   from the audience is encouraged.
