kernel upgrades

the reason I want to upgrade is actually pretty good -- I've got a real live
commercial situation where I get to use Linux, and another development group
I'm working with is running on 1.3.72. I personally would tend to stay with
my 1.2.8 system since it's behaving.

more linux for the people... I get to sit at the zsh prompt and watch dust
gather on my win 95 machine's keyboard...
