QIC tape drives From: cnoyes@maui.webo.dg.com (Chuck Noyes) Date: Wed, 9 Aug 1995 12:57:24 -0400 (EDT) X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4 PL21] Content-Type: text Content-Length: 225 Sender: owner-linux-sig@bcs.org Precedence: bulk Reply-To: linux-sig@bcs.org

   Hi everyone...

Does anyone know if the QIC-117 support in Linux (Slakware) will
drive a QIC-150 scsi tape drive? If not, what scsi tape driver
should I specify in 'make config' to get the QIC-150 support?

   Thanks....Chuck

Assuming it is a SCSI-QIC-150, In kernel cfg, specify SCSI-Tape. The
other types of tape support are for tapedrives which use different
controller cards (non-SCSI).

Does anyone have any experience with 4mil/8mil SCSI dat on Linux?
