Boston Linux & UNIX was originally founded in 1994 as part of The Boston Computer Society. We meet on the third Wednesday of each month at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in Building E51.

Gentoo Linux features the latest, modern tools including Linux 2.4.20, gcc 3.2.1, LVM, EVMS, ext3, ReiserFS, XFS, Gnome, KDE, qmail (with optional mysql and LDAP support), Postfix, exim, GRUB, and named (not numbered) runlevels.

We will have an overview presentation and a demo of a finished Gentoo system.
