Boston Linux & UNIX was originally founded in 1994 as part of The Boston Computer Society. We meet on the third Wednesday of each month at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in Building E51.

Take route 128 to exit 19B (Highland Avenue, Needham). Take a left onto Hunting Road (first traffic light, opposite Muzi Ford). At the next light, turn left onto Kendrick St.(about .6 mi). Kendrick becomes Nahanton St. At the end of the road bear right onto Dedham St. Mt. Ida College is on your right at the next traffic light, about 0.1 Mi). Mount Ida operates a shuttle bus from the Newton Center T stop directly to the building where we hold the Installfest. Summary

Come lend a hand building a Beowulf cluster!

Abstract

On February 22nd, at 10:00am in its Academic Technology Center, Mount Ida will be hosting a BarnRaising for its (now) 32-node Beowulf Cluster running Red Hat 8x software. Volunteers are welcome to come and help!

The requirements: to build the board assembly, to burn the CMOS, and to mount inside the previously built rack.
