An open-source alternative to Adobe's photoshop

Abstract

Carey Bunks discusses the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP), and demonstrates some of the techniques from his new book, such as photo touchup and enhancement, color correction, 3D image rendering, etc. His book, "Grokking the GIMP", is being published by New Riders Publishing, and should be appearing in bookstores by mid-February.
