Abstract

Tom demonstrates CodeWarrior, an IDE for programming embedded systems, running on Red hat Linux.

Bio

Prior to coming to work for Metrowerks, Tom Thompson was a Senior Editor at BYTE Magazine, where he authored numerous articles and managed the Core Features section of the magazine. Tom was the author of a book on PowerPC programming on the Macintosh, and occasionally freelances for such publications as EE Times and MacTech Magazine.
Rick Grehan was technical director of BYTE Magazine's BYTE Labs, co-programmer of the BYTEmark benchmarks, and author of BYTE's "JAVATalk" column. Following that, he was a Senior Technical editor for Computer Design Magazine where he was in charge of the Embedded Systems section. Currently, he is the author of JavaPro Magazine's "Impure Thoughts" column. He works for Metrowerks, Inc. in their Discover Products Division.
